Is anyone else tired of hearing the word irreverent on every writing board and blog on the Internet? A search for 'irreverent OR irreverence' on Google Blog Search yields 9,500 results, none of which are fit to link to. Recently I've seen half a dozen job postings searching for an irreverent writer. My favorite of these, however, was a posting on GetaFreelancer.com looking for an irreverent, witty writer. One of the bids for the project actually read, "I am a very irrelevant writer." See what she did there? See it?

People, let's try to think of another word for irreverent. Matter of fact, I'll do it for you.
