Santa Barbara Beaches
The beaches in Santa Barbara are gorgeous. Here's a shot of SB at sunrise.
It's a nice city to be in if you don't have a car, or just like to exercise. There is a long, paved walk that extends the entire length of the beach. All day long, it's full of pedestrians and their pets. There are also trails all along the coastline; some lead you toward tidepools, others more inland. The sand is also marked out on several beaches into rows of immaculate beach volleyball courts, and there are quite a few playgrounds just across the street from the beach. And parallel to the paved walk is a marked bicycle lane on the road. It's a great place to be a pedestrian.
